Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
Our outreach team always looks for opportunities to be a good neighbor. One need close to home is our homeless community. Our local shelter closed its doors March 2014. Many of our neighbors have been left with no shelter and resources. While its difficult to help every individual, we have gotten to know the small communities within the homeless and visit to provide meals, donate clothing, study the Word, and try be a friend. A couple of counselors in our team also make occasional visits to help with emotional and psychological issues. Our goal is to increase our resources and grow our volunteer team to better help them become successful members in our community.
Our missions team is in early stages of planting two churches in Telica and Chinandega, Nicaragua. Starting churches, however, is not our only vision. We have surveyed and found that steady jobs are scarce, many don't have secure shelter, parents travel far for a chance to find a job for the day, and many kids don't go to school. This leaves many kids unsupervised and vulnerable to neglect and abuse.
For our next visit, we are planning to offer workshops to empower families, Bible studies, group and individual counseling, clothing and school supply distributions, and will minister miracles and healings through the power of God.
Nothing will be limited to those with our same faith. We desire to help every person in need we meet.
Our goal for the future is to be able to help the communities with most needs with shelter and open a public dining room for the children.
Many of our outreach team member are ordained international chaplains. We have been trained to offer "inter-faith" support and help people of all creeds. Our chaplains visit hospitals, senior homes, rehab centers, and make home visits.
We are ready to serve at all times.
We are looking to ordain more chaplain volunteers to be able to serve more facilities.
